    ...am a historian-in-the-making (working on an MA, due in 2012) who likes Renaissance politicians, state structures, palaeography and does her best studying to the sound of Baroque music. Am somewhat Harry Potter obsessed, have a knack for over-analysing characters on TV shows and greatly enjoy suffering from a TWOP abuse problem. I write quite a bit and greatly enjoy making long, sarcastic posts when I find the time and inspiration. I also have a long-suffering fantasy universe in the making and plan on finishing it sometime around the year 2057. I love -- and am constantly in awe of -- intelligent and intellectual people, and hate not knowing things though actually finishing books can be ever so challenging no matter how much I like looking at them.

    Am 100% Finnish though I don't particularly look it (Walloon blood FTW) or sound it for that matter. Whenever I feel like it, I tend to rant on domestic language politics. You don't have to care, really.


    Fandomesque

    Harry Potter: First and foremost, I like and support 'Deathly Hallows' (and 'Half-Blood Prince' too, but we're not still wanking about that one, are we...?) Yes, I know that Remus died. I screamed and cried for about ten minutes in the shower. I still love the book. I also happen to like the Epilogue O'Doom. You don't have to, however, and as long as you don't go all Entitled Fan Complex on me, we'll get along great. Meaning; JKR didn't do X to piss you off. She really didn't. I swear, and I survived sunken theories and ships too.
    Speaking of which, I ship James/Lily, Remus/Tonks, Bella/Rodolphus, Rodolphus/Mrs Zabini (ask me about that one sometime, I'd love to educate you). I write mostly Lestrange fic since my long-standing mission in fandom has been to give Rodolphus and Rabastan some credit. Am also a big Sirius fangirl and have a soft spot for the entire Black family - really, the whole First War and everyone involved is great stuff.

    I began my career as a fangirl in the ER fandom (Luka/Abby forever!) and still watch a lot of TV, but seldom as religiously these days. Since Gossip Girl jumped the shark, that is - and that is, what, a few months ago...? I like Bones and other procedurals, and watch a lot of criminal dramas overall.



    Friending & Such Matters

    The fannish stuff is public -- to 90% that means my Lestrange fics and rants about my Lestrange fics, and random HP, ER, Lost, Bones and Gossip Girl fangirling. Stuff about my uni life and general life rambles are f-locked; really personal stuff is filtered. It's not you, it's me -- and you don't want to bother with it anyway.

    Anyway - I'm always looking for new friends. Same preferences and interests are cool, very different ones are too -- just knock if you feel tempted.
